the lastest additions to the abba collection

These are so rare its not funny. I wore my jumper to death when i was just a young girl so its very exciting to have one again. The polar shirt is on ABBA the movie but I actually never had one of these so its a big YAY for that one. The bag apparently originated from the abba fan club which i was in but it I dont ever remember seeing this .My friend Roxanne had to get hers via a New Zealand web site and I saw an ad for one in a UK auction. So they got around it seems.  I really never thought I would be so lucky to have any of these 3 rare items in my collection so its a happy couple of weeks of shopping for me and nothing was too expensive which was an added bonus.

The mirror is a stunning old mirror. Wooden frame and has abba songs listed around the outside of the picture. The poster is a promo poster for record stores with in Austrlia.

The very hard to find mix

This is my very special framed record selection.
It is the LP ring ring. A pre - abba release by RCA
Australia. Very hard to find unless you are lucky enough
to get to a record fair maybe you could pick up a bargin then.
The 2 singles are also ring ring. One is the pre-abba single and the
later released version by ABBA.

The special single

I have framed the very limited edition abba single along with my
rarest of all abba products from Australia and that is the Abba doodle
art kit. The other item is a cd released only in Australia and even though it
does pop up from time to time it still seems to be a very saught after item.

This video footage has a few bits that I that I actually have not seen.In one scene anna is knocked almost over by a cop when waiting to get ito the limo and the other a reporter is chatting away to her and kindly asks her about her bottom award. He then asks if she would turn around and show them the famous bottom SHe gets emabaressed , laughs and walks off and the camera of course zooms in on that now famous area. Funny!

New ABBA posters

This one I have framed at home encased in a beautiful glass frame that was given to me by the talented writer of ABBA Let the music speak. That one was what he had on display at his book launch and I fell in love with it so much.

There are some beautiful people in this world who amaze me with generousity everyday and one is my good friend Roxanne who just gave me the rare Happy Anniversary single and the other is Chris Patrick who knows how much I love abba and especially posters and with the excption of the one directly below gave me (yes thats right) gave me these beautiful posters. The blue jeans one is my most fave of all. Love you guys !

Collecting ABBA memorabillia and what it has done to you!

As time goes on we still as abba fans need to feed on the hunger of "I must have this" or "i so need that". Sometimes its so over powering that you find your self parting with many things you care about in your collection or missing out on that dress or the much needed head of foils just to get that special item  into your collection . As a  farely serious collector of all that is abba especially from Australia, I find i have this problem so much I have come to conclusion that its now a serious addiction like gambling or smoking and so on. It has in part taken over a large portion of my free time. Every minute that I can get I am on the computer searching for an item that continues to elude me. Soudn familiar to any of you? I find it sad and frustrating at times but none the less I continue on with it day after day after day.....I always say to myself  "when I get that mirror I will stop buying anything else" and at the time I do mean this completely and untill I get that dam abba mirror back into my collection where it rightfully belongs I intend to follow that intention fully. SO I declare myself and abba addict and its been 2 days since my last purchase.  If anyone has this mirror, my one and only final purhase to help me get out of this little corner of the house that I hide in too often then please let me know ASAP.

ABBA article from 1977

I have very fond memories of this article that came in the Womans Weekly in 1977. I only entered this competition once and what you had to do in order to win tickets to see abba in concert was fill in the gaps of the "national" abba song with your own lyrics.

I wrote.......They make life so very easy now, they show you how with National.  I was so into song writing way back then and so I was very proud of these few lines and was sure I was going to win but of course I didn't :(  I stil lremember those lyrics like it was yesterday. I have just  purchased this mag with the competition still intact. Who in their right mind owned this magazine back then and did not enter it. Shame on them  :)

New arrivals.

I have been lucky enough to score some reasonably cheap abba memorabillia for a change. One is a super rare abba poster prodiced and sold here in the 1970's plus abba carpet from the Netherlands and an abba dish made in Italy and was brought off a British lady.

the book ABBA in Australia

This is a glimpse of the ABBA in Australia I have had done . It is dedicated to the abba fans in Australia. This is a book full of extremely rare and never seen before abba pics from 1976-1977. It also includes the full abba memorabillia sold here in Australia in that time and its all from my own and Roxannes collection. I dont think between us there is anyting missing. We are 2 very devoted abba fans who have a passion for anything from Australia.
